Winery Review: The overall rating of this wine is a 3.2 out of 5 stars, according to vinino.com. The reviews primarily rave about the greatness of the wine for being so cheap. An avid reviewer noted that "this red wine opens with a nose of plum and vanilla. It is dry with soft tannins and vanilla spice...etc." E. W, 09/12/2019.

Personal Review: Before drinking this wine I had high hopes because I previously tried a merlot from this brand. My first impression was tartness, like a sour berry, primarily blueberry. It was not as dry as the merlot but still had a dry aftertaste. Very subtly tasted vanilla, but not overpowering. The smell was very potent and it was not as warm going down my throat. I really enjoyed drinking this wine and will certainly be purchasing again! According to the wine folly site (my book is still being shipped), it is important to list the most obvious flavors first which will essentially create a hierarchy of importance. When further looking at tips on how to describe wine according to wine folly, I believe that this particular wine had a tart and tingly finish. Wine folly says that this finish will leave your mouth watering due to the tartness and acidity, and that certainly held true!
