Winery Review: Interestingly, this particular winery is temporarily closed for reasons unknown. Compared to the Pinot Grigio made by this same winery, their Moscato is much more favored, with an overall rating of 3.4/5. According to vivino.com, this wine has tree fruit notes (peach, pear, apricot), earthy notes (honey), and red fruits (strawberry). One review stated that this wine is a classic basic moscato, while another reviewer said it paired well with chocolate. Majority of the lower rated reviews mention that the wine is too sweet, while the higher rated reviews emphasize how it tastes like grape juice and an easy way to get you drunk! Moscato is certainly preferred by some and disliked by others.

Personal Review: After trying the Pinot Grigio from this same winery, I had low expectations along with the fact that I dislike sweet wines. My preconceived notions were in fact correct, this wine tasted exactly like juice, it was extremely sweet it was hard to even note specific flavors. It was not sour or citrusy but it was a sweeter berry and went down extremely easy. I could only bear to have a few sips or else I felt like I was going to have a belly-ache from all of the sugar. Too sweet for me unfortunately. According to Wine Folly, specifically page 136, Moscato is also known as Moscatel de Setubal. It is a rich and honeyed fortified dessert wine grown from grapes predominantly in Portugal. With very high sweetness, alcohol, body and lower acidity and tannins, this wine generally has a mouthful of sweet flavors like caramel and honey!
